One of Us (1, 2 & 3)

HILDE & BÅRD TØRDAL | 2024 | Limestone, brass

Three experiments with limestone sourced from an old industrial kiln dismantled sometime in the late ’80s in Herre. These three small sculptures were made in our outdoor studio in Tørdal the summer of 2024. The sculptures are small, 300-400mm high, able to stand in groups or alone. Biomorphic abstract shapes hovering on long spindly brass legs. The limestones; one dull grey, one a mottled blue and the smallest one a vaguely brown, were rough cut before we polished them with 5000 grit wet sand paper.
